Safety and Accessibility

A contoured seat 17" high for effortless seating
It is important for the seat in the tub to be at least 17" high so that a person can sit down and get up back up easily and safely. The 17" seat height meets the ADA (American Disability Act) standards.

Low Entryway
Our tubs have been designed with the lowest possible entryway, while staying within the scope of a remodel application. The extra low threshold allows a person with hip or knee problems to enter and exit the tub with very little discomfort.

Valves, drain and accessories
We've gone to great efforts to develop accessories that bring added safety and ease of use. For instance, our thermostatic mixing valve provides added protection for the bather from potential hot water scalding. The hydro temp faucet is designed specifically for our walk in bathtubs. The valve is set at 100 degrees for users with neuropathy while allowing other users to set the water temperature as desired.

Electrical components exceed safety standards
Pumps switches and controllers used in our bathtubs meet or exceed NRTL (Nation Recognized Testing Laboratory) standards.

Certification and Code Compliance
Certification lets our customers know that our walk in bathtubs comply with all necessary building codes, association criteria, and product safety and performance standards. It also means that our manufacturing process and products will undergo periodic follow-up inspections to ensure continued compliance, safety and performance. Our walk in bathtubs meet extensive certification and even surpass requirements for new construction and renovation.

IAPMO R&T and Intertek ETL SEMKO
All of our tubs and systems are tested to IAPMO standards (the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials). They also carry UPC Certification, the Universal Plumbing Code covering the tub shell, as well as USPC, which is the Universal Spa Plumbing Code covering plumbing for hydro massage and air massage systems. All of our systems are thoroughly tested through Intertek to cover the electrical portion of hydro and air massage systems and they carry the ETL Listed mark.

Health and Therapy

Health benefits of whirlpool jets
Air jets, water jets, or both are know to treat common ailments including: muscle cramps and weakness, diabetes, circulatory diseases, arthritis and osteoarthritis, back pain and a variety of physical injuries.

While soaking in the tub, body weight is reduced by 90%. This helps to relieve pressure on sore joints and muscles while providing a deep sense of rest and relaxation. Whirlpool hydrotherapy uses powerful massaging jets for an invigorating, deep massage that relaxes tight muscles, rejuvenates the tissues, and releases natural painkillers. Combination hydrotherapy uses both air and water jets to provide a unique bathing experience, allowing for the deepest of therapeutic benefits.

Warm Water Baths
Soaking in warm water provides a variety of health benefits such as: opening up small blood vessels that are close to the tissues, helping tissues heal through oxygenation and the purging of harmful toxins, lessening aches and pains, increasing the production of beneficial hormones, increasing circulation, and stimulating the immune system.

Cold Water Therapy
Not only can a warm bath help, but cold water offers certain health benefits, too, such as opening constricted blood vessels to reduce swelling and helping to heal sprains.

Air Massage System
Unlike the powerful deep tissue massage of our hydro systems, our air massage systems generate thousands of tiny air bubbles, preheated to your body temperature, that engulf you in a gentle caressing therapeutic massage from the top of your neck to the soles of your feet. The gentle air movement activates the immune system and increases blood circulation, relieving sore muscles, joint pain and inflammation.

Hydrostatic Pressure
When weightlessness is combined with the massaging action of whirlpool jets, tight muscles are loosened while natural painkillers known as endorphins are released.

Back Massage (Hydro Message Systems)
Our adjustable back jets provide a nice, relaxing back massage while bathing helps with back pain, the second most common reason people see the doctor. Back pain is reduced while flexibility is increased.

Quality

Tubs assembled by hand
Unlike most tubs that are sprayed fiberglass out of a chopper gun, we apply sheets of fiberglass in order to prevent air pockets from forming. Additionally, this strengthens the gelcoat finish and ensures a strong bond between the gelcoat and fiberglass, providing much greater durability.

Solid frames made of stainless steel or powder coated steel
Three types of frames are currently being produced for walk in bathtubs, including wood, steel, and stainless steel. Since wood frames eventually rot away and raw steel frames will rust, we use stainless steel frames as well as powder coated steel frames to ensure durability and to meet building codes.

Tub construction
All walk in bathtubs are made to the highest standards to ensure a beautiful finish and a lifetime of worry-free use. Both our gelcoat and acrylic tubs are made using industry-leading technology and the highest quality materials to be as durable as they are beautiful.

High quality hardware and accessories
Our ergonomically designed door handle allows for easy operation of the tub door, even for those with weakened grip strength. Six leveling feet under the tub simplify the installation process and ensure stability of the tub. The faucet assembly comes standard with designer fill spout, diverter valve with hand-held shower, and hot & cold water valves with easy grip handles. Our exclusive shower curtain and rod have been designed to fit a left or right hand tub, small or large. The curtain is a foot longer than a standard curtain, allowing it to fit around the seating area of the tub to prevent water from splashing on the back tub ledge. The rod itself allows the curtain to slide freely''”with no breaks in the rod.

Individual inspection before shipment
Before any tub leaves our factory, it undergoes a variety of tests. A first-water test is performed in three different stages, followed by a careful inspection of the frame, gelcoat and acrylic finish, fiberglass thickness and overall construction of the tub. If a hydro massage or air system is added, the water test is repeated and each additional component is also tested. In order for a tub to pass final inspection, a worker as well as a supervisor must sign it off.
